Title: Commitment to Enhance the Historical Record of AS

1. WHEREAS: The Associated Students, Inc. (AS) is the official voice of over 38,000 students at California State University Northridge; AND 2. WHEREAS: AS is the primary advocate for students at CSUN and provides excellent, meaningful programs and services designed to create and enhance a spirited, learning focused campus environment; AND 3. WHEREAS: AS has a rich history of involvement and innovation on campus, over its decades long existence; AND 4. WHEREAS: Documentation of previous Student Leadership Governments is limited outside of the record of minutes; AND 5. WHEREAS: Enhanced continuity and dialogue between administrations, especially regarding communication of the efficacy for various ideas, could better inform AS Student Leadership and make it more efficient; AND 6. WHEREAS: The documentation and procedures intended for the transition between administrations of AS Student Leadership is lacking; THEREFORE LET IT BE

1. RESOLVED: AS recommits to enhancing its historical documentation; AND LET IT BE FURTHER 2. RESOLVED: AS will begin to maintain record of voluntary contributions made by members of Student Leadership, as outlined in the Senate’s standing rules; AND LET IF BE FURTHER 3. RESOLVED: AS will seek to digitize, organize, and upload its remaining historical record to the internet at its nearest possible convenience; AND LET IF BE FURTHER 4. RESOLVED: That copies of this resolution will be distributed widely, including but not limited to the following: - Dianne Harrison, CSUN President - Dr. William Watkins, CSUN Vice President for Student Affairs - Michael Wiafe, CSSA President - Tyrone L. Carter, USU Chair - Rose Merida and Deion Turner, President-elect and Vice President-elect of CSUN AS for 2020-2021 - Mary-Pat Stein, CSUN Academic Senate President - The Sundial - Debra Hammond, University Student Union
