AS Productions is the largest student programming department at CSUN Associated Students and is responsible for planning diverse, quality events for the university community. Our mission is to provide excellent, meaningful programs and services designed to enhance and create a spirited learning-focused campus environment. In connection with our mission, we plan events year-round that bring the CSUN community together in order to nurture and promote student achievement in all functional areas of student life.
Every year, AS Productions hosts overs 50 quality events in the fall, spring, & summer semesters ranging from large concerts, lectures, comedy, farmer's markets, films, etc. Each year, we anticipate reaching an audience of over 60,000 attendees across all of our events. Many of these attendees are not only CSUN students, but also part of the general public and campus visitors.

Partnerships with AS and AS Productions allow for unique and exclusive access to the most coveted demographic, young college age individuals and local families.
Corporate partnership money will help AS continue to bring the CSUN community quality high impact events while keeping the student cost at a minimum.
Our main sponsorship opportunity that AS Productions provides is for Big Show. This is our largest signature event within AS that occurs annually. This event is CSUN’s annual concert and for over 20 years it has an 8,000-person capacity. Past performers include Dillon Francis, Valentino Khan, Big Sean, Louis the Child, Carnage, Diplo, Phantoms, LMFAO, Tyga, Laidback Luke, Mustard and more.
In an effort to inspire and motivate the student body, AS Productions brings a highly accomplished inspirational guest speaker to the campus to speak to the campus and encourage them to chase their dreams. Bringing personalities from different industries, a few past guest speakers include: Laverne Cox, Viola Davis, Magic Johnson, James Franco, Cornell West, and Lauren Ridloff. These events typically reach anywhere from 500 - 800 students, faculty, staff, & guests.
This event is designed to bring about laughs to the campus community. AS Productions brings professional comedians to campus to provide students, faculty, staff, & guests the opportunity to laugh together and build memories. Past comedians include: Cody Ko, Trevor Wallace, and more.
Earth Fair is an event that educates students about global environmental issues. This event brings awareness of CSUN's sustainable initiatives to the students, highlighting campus efforts to use renewable energy, eliminate paper waste, and more. Earth Fair's programming includes a student art competition, live musical performances, and vendors that encourage students to take steps towards a sustainable lifestyle.
Farmers Market is a marketplace that brings fresh, locally sourced produce and goods to the campus. The goal of the market is to support sustainable agriculture and farming practices. AS is committed to offering healthy foods to students, staff, faculty, and surrounding community members. Most Farmers Market events not only local live music, but also special events and games from on campus organizations. The market takes place every Tuesday during both fall and spring semesters. An estimated attendance of about 800 people come through the market each week.
Summer Movie Fest is an outdoor movie screening series held for 10 consecutive weeks on Thursdays during the summer and has grown to become a part of the Northridge culture. Open to current students, future students, community members, & local families, each week AS Productions brings a popular movie, free activities, food trunks, and entertainment to the University Library Lawn for all to enjoy.
